The Information Technology Office recommends that students connect to the Point network with a computer running the latest version of Microsoft Windows or Mac OS.
Students may bring either traditional desktop computers or laptop/notebook computers to campus. Ethernet connections are provided in residence hall rooms, and the campus also features wireless Internet access.
Microsoft Office 2010 for PC and Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac is available under the Microsoft Campus Agreement. Current students, faculty and staff may purchase and download Microsoft Office for $9.95
online.
Students are also encouraged to use USB drives for easy transport of their files from personal computers to the campus computer lab.
Anti-virus software is required for use of the University's network.

To connect your personal computer to the campus network, you will need a wireless adapter or a Network Interface Card and Ethernet cord. Wireless adapters should support any of the 802.11b/g/n standards, and should use the latest drivers. Network Interface Cards should be set for TCP/IP and DHCP enabled.
