Students are encouraged to use their abilities and gifts by serving in a variety of ministry and mission internships. Weekend preaching, children’s, music and youth ministries are available, as are supply preaching opportunities. Service to local churches is an important part of each student's spiritual development, and all Point students are encouraged to take advantage of these opportunities for leadership and growth.
Community Ministry Day
Each semester, the academic program of
Point University is suspended for a day in order to allow every student
and faculty member to participate in a day of community ministry. A
variety of opportunities are provided as options for students to engage
our community in ministry. Attendance is expected at this event, and
failure to participate will result in absences for any classes held that
day.

Ministry openings are listed on the Point website, and student-specific opportunities are posted on the bulletin board in the Student Development Office.
Point’s belief is that all Christians should be involved in ministry, regardless of vocational status. Therefore, all full-time students (12 hours or more) are expected to devote time to service during each semester. The Student Development Office directs a team of community ministry advisors (faculty members) to coordinate and facilitate this program.
