Impact! Ministry Day

One day each semester, the Point University community suspends academic classes to provide opportunities for students, faculty and staff to spend the day serving the community at a variety of sites across the Southeast. Impact! ministry days are intended to strengthen student, faculty and staff relationships by serving the community alongside one another; raise student awareness of what goes on beyond the campus “fence”; and put into practice Point’s belief is that all Christians should be involved in ministry, regardless of vocational status.

The first Impact! ministry day was held in 2007. That day, over 80 percent of students, faculty and staff gathered at City of Refuge, serving an urban ministry in one of Atlanta's worst neighborhoods. Since that semester, Point University has extended Impact! into a multi-site adventure all over the area. Locations where we have served include ministries and non-profit organizations such as:

While the locations may change and students will graduate, Impact! ministry days remains a regular reminder of Point University’s mission to equip students to the cross everywhere, living lives of love and service.
