An abbreviated admission process is available to students who wish to enroll in 5 or fewer on-campus credit hours per semester (or 6 or fewer online course credit hours per semester) and is not seeking a degree. To apply for admission as a nondegree seeking student, the person must:
- Complete a nondegree seeking student application online. Submit a $25.00 application fee, payable by check or credit card.
- An essay must be submitted explaining the applicant's Christian commitment and desire to attend Point.
- Have a minister or another person in a position of spiritual leadership
fill out and submit the Spiritual Reference Form.
This status is normally used by a person who wishes to take courses for continuing education or personal enrichment purposes. Limitations may be set during the admission process and by the registrar at the beginning of each semester. The University may choose to verify any student-reported data. If the nondegree seeking student desires to seek a degree, enroll in more than 5 credit hours per semester, or has accumulated 28 total hours at Point, the student must complete the regular admission process.
