In my career I have served as a professor, dean of instruction, vice president for academic affairs, and as president of a community college. While I enjoyed each of those positions, I have found my calling and passion at Point University. I hold a BA in religion and philosophy from Samford University, an MA in education from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and an Ed.D. in instructional leadership from the University of Alabama. John Morris Director of Distance Education StrengthsQuest™ Strengths: Individualization, Leaner, Relator, Intellection, Ideation Fifteen years ago, God called me away from an 18-year career with Hewlett-Packard and sent me to seminary. Since then, I earned two master's degrees and a Ph.D. in New Testament, taught as a seminary professor, and was privileged to start a four-year Bible college in a local prison for the Georgia Department of Corrections. As director of special projects in the Access program, I am excited to continue to follow God’s path as He guides me to help you continue your education program. StrengthsQuest™ Information

Point uses the StrengthsQuest system with many of our students, particularly in the Access program. StrengthsQuest, Gallup's strengths development program for college students, gives students the opportunity to develop based on their strengths rather than their weaknesses. In other words, it helps students learn what they do best, then build their lives on those talents.

With StrengthsQuest, students can:

• discover and develop their greatest talents
• use their strengths to improve their grades and increase their learning
• strategically determine a rewarding career path
• focus on their strengths rather than their weaknesses
