New Hire Procedures
All newly hired employees (full time or part time, including student workers) must complete new employee paperwork before beginning work. You can make an appointment to do so by contacting Judy Livingston
. You cannot be paid until the paperwork with the Business Office is complete.

The University defines specific holidays throughout the year which are taken with pay by full-time employees. Generally, these include:
- New Year’s Day
- Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
- Good Friday
- One day during spring break (as specified by announcement)
- Memorial Day
- Fourth of July
- Labor Day
- Fall Break (one day as specified by announcement)
- Thanksgiving Break (two days)
- Christmas Break (as announced each year)
Other holidays, the observance of a holiday that falls on a weekend, or variations of the stated normal holidays may be announced as appropriate by the president.
This holiday policy may not be interpreted in such a way to support a conversion into cash compensation (See section 9.1.3 of the handbook).
