<< BackACC is now Point University
Today, July 1, Atlanta Christian College officially became Point University, marking a new era in the institution's 74-year history.
"On February 2, after years of searching, seeking, and praying about the next step for Atlanta Christian College, we announced that we would relocate and expand our traditional, residential campus to West Point, Ga., and that effective July 1, Atlanta Christian College would become Point University," said Dean Collins, president. "That day has arrived, and we are happy to begin our next chapter as Point University."
The University's new website, www.Point.edu, was launched earlier this week. Information about the relocation process is still available on the University's relocation website, www.PointUniversity.org. Friends of Point can also keep in touch with Point University on Facebook and Twitter.
"While many things have already transitioned to our new name, we ask that our students, alumni, employees and friends bear with us while we continue to update our materials during this time of transition," added Collins. "It may be several months before some things, such as highway signs, are updated to reflect our new name."
"We believe that all of the changes we are going through will enhance our mission to extend the kingdom of God through training students who love the Lord and will use their talents and education to influence culture for Christ," Collins said. "We ask that you continue to keep Point University in your thoughts and prayers as we move into the next phase of our history."
