Where are you from?

I grew up in the Atlanta area, moving back after college for seminary in Decatur. After seminary, I moved to Chicago for 7 years before returning home.

What brought you to Point University?

In a nutshell: sheer persistence! I applied to teach as an adjunct in the Access program a year before I was given an interview. I will never forget the excitement of my first class, confirming that Point is a special place. I count myself unbelievably blessed to be a part of our stellar faculty!

What are some of your hobbies?

I love sports and fitness, especially marathon running, golf and basketball. I would always rather read and listen to music than watch TV, but I also enjoy movies.

What advice would you give to new students?

I always tell new students the same thing: “Keep your eyes on the prize.” There is no greater feeling than walking across that stage at graduation!

What are your research interests?

Paul, Gospels, the Roman Empire, and Pentecostal/Wesleyan theology

Are there any interesting facts about yourself that you would like to share with new or current Point students?

I’m in my 30s and tend to go to bed at 9:00 so that I can get up insanely early to run.
