Bachelor of Science in Sociology
Sociology is defined as the study of the development, structure and functioning of human society. At Point, the Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a specialization in Social Work degree provides for a fusion of theory and practical application. Students explore the history and theories in the field of sociology, and develop analytic skills applicable in a wide variety of fields.
The sociology program is designed as a broad liberal arts base for professions such as law, education, medicine, social work and counseling.
