Tiffany Wood Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management

I graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with a B.S. in global economics and Spanish and an M.S. in international affairs and economic development. After graduating from my bachelor’s program, I worked at Georgia Tech’s Christian Campus Fellowship as a campus minister to freshmen. During that year, I took classes at Point University. While taking classes at Point, I fell in love with the community and did not want to leave. I finished up my ministry position at GT, and I was then given the opportunity to work with Point’s Student Development Office for one school year. I enjoyed my time with the students at Point so much that I moved over to work with the Admissions Office to help give other people the opportunity to have the same great experience I had here! After serving in Student Life and the Admissions Office for six years, I now have the amazing opportunity to serve as the Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Management.

If you have any questions regarding admission to Point University, feel free to contact any of our admission staff at 706-385-1000 or by email.

Rusty Hassell Executive Director of Enrollment

Point has been a part of my life in one way or another since I was born. Both of my parents, Chuck Hassell ’81 and Tammy Henderson Hassell ’80, graduated from Point, so it just seemed like the natural decision to transfer there in 2007 after attending two other institutions. During my time at Point, I was highly involved in several areas including our men’s soccer team and served as a Campus Life Minister my senior year. In May of 2009, I received my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with minors in biblical studies and sports management and completed my M.S. in sports management in 2016.

Upon graduation, I spent time working for Christian Financial Resources, Inc., teaching, and even working as an admissions representative at another institution. In July 2011, I rejoined Point as the Athletic Admission Counselor and became Director of Admission in December of 2014. Coming back to work at Point has allowed me to combine my passions of sports and students in a way that I am able to serve Christ. Point has impacted my life in ways that can’t be confined to this short bio, but every day I go to work knowing that I am truly blessed to be a part of the Point story and ministry.

If you would like to know more about my story or how Point can be a part of making your own story, please feel free to contact me at 706-385-1503 or email me. Until then, go Skyhawks!

I grew up in south Alabama and graduated from Troy University with a degree in marketing. I came to this area to work for the local textile company and have lived here most of my adult life. In fact, I worked in the building that is now Point’s Academic Center for over twenty years when it was part of the textile company. I was Point University’s first local hire when they decided to move the campus to West Point, and it was my job to assist the university during the planning and moving process. I have watched our campus transition from a few empty buildings to the beautiful campus it is today; full of great students and caring faculty and staff. It is now my opportunity, as part of the admission team, to share campus experiences with visitors and prospective students. I also get to share Point University with the rest of the community, actively working with area Chambers of Commerce, local churches and businesses.

If you would like to schedule a visit to Point University, please give me a call at 706-385-1010 or e-mail me. It would be my pleasure to share our campus with you!

Chase Dial

Assistant Director of Admission

Chase Dial Athletic Admission CounselorI graduated from Point in May 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. I began my college career at Point the same time it moved its main campus to West Point. Since that move, there has been an exponential amount of growth at Point, and it is still growing! Looking back, you cannot help but notice that God has been at work here. Coming out of Newton High School, I was a part of the first recruitment class for Point football. It was exciting as a freshman to have the opportunity to be a part of the foundation of something bigger than yourself. During my four years here at Point, I was blessed to receive the All-Conference Award for 2014 and 2015, as well as contribute to the first conference championship for Point University football. However, if I had not learned what my identity in Christ was, all of those awards would be worthless. Only God would know that a small university had the potential to grow and continue growing.

If you want to be a part of something bigger than yourself and grow with us here at Point, give me a call at 706-385-1040 or email me, and I will be more than happy to walk you through the admissions process step by step!

I graduated from Point in May 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and a specialization in Social Work. I came to Point originally to run Cross country but ended up finding my calling in serving people and building intentional relationships. I’m thankful God changed my story by bringing me to Point, and I’d like to help welcome you into our family as well. Our community is growing fast, and I promise you don’t want to miss out! My Point story changed my testimony completely and taught me what community is all about. I’d love to share my experience with you!

I graduated from Columbus State University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. I grew up in West Point and have been a part of this amazing city my whole life. I love the life in a small town because of all the great relationships that you make with everyone on a daily basis. I also love the fact that since Point University has opened its doors here, the city has grown exponentially and has become a place centered on Christ. I have been blessed with the opportunity to talk about the city that I adore and tell people of all the great things that they can accomplish at Point University through Christ-centered service and leadership.

We want to be the bridge from who you are now to who you want to be. If you want to be a part of the bigger picture or have any questions, please feel free to contact me at 706.385.1008 or by email.

If you have questions or need more information about Point University, call any one of the members of the admission team at 706-385-1000 or 1-855-37-POINT (outside metro Atlanta), or send the Admission Office an email.

I am a Point alumna that fell in love with the University’s culture throughout my four years here. I graduated in December of 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Counseling and Human Services. After graduating, I lived in Brazil for a year where I fell in love with the language and culture. After arriving back in the U.S, I worked at a residential facility for children and adults with special needs for a year.

I returned to Point University to work as an Admission Counselor because I believe in our mission, “to educate students for Christ-centered service and leadership throughout the world.” Point is my home and I hope it will become yours too!

If you have any questions, feel free to call me at 706-385-1022, or email me, and I’ll be glad to serve you!

I keep up with all the data and get to play with spreadsheets. My experience and journey with Point University is going to be different than most of our team. I did not attend college at Point; I did not previously work in higher education and knew very little about our great University before joining the Admission Team. My family relocated to the area, and I began praying and looking for where God would have me be. Through one of my dearest brothers in Christ, I learned about Point University. The more I researched Point, the more I knew it was where I needed to be. Point is full of wonderful students, faculty and staff who believe and live out our mission—educating students for Christ-centered service and leadership throughout the world.

I always try to make myself available to help however I can, so please, email or call me (706-385-1209). I wish you the best!
