Business Administration Degree

The Business Administration major prepares students to glorify God through Christ-centered leadership and vocational excellence in business professions. Point University’s programs and curriculums are flexible, allowing students to explore different areas of business and design a program that fits their individual career plans.

Associate Degree in Business Administration

The Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration equips students with foundational knowledge of business management and accounting, as well as a broad grounding in the liberal arts. Graduates of the Business Administration program are prepared for entry-level positions in business organizations. Students may also continue their studies to earn the Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.

Program Goals

The A.A. in Business Administration builds on the mission and goals of Point University in order to attain Point’s general education competencies and accomplish the following program goals and student learning objectives:

1. Develop professionals who can manage the human, financial, and physical resources of a business to achieve stated objectives.
2. Educate students in the basic content, principles, and methodologies of the primary areas of knowledge, including the Humanities, Fine Arts, Social and Behavioral Sciences, Natural Sciences, and Mathematics.
3. Equip students with a foundation in biblical theology and worldview issues.
4. Offer students the essential habits and skills for lifelong learning and success.

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration

The business administration program provides a broad foundation in the major aspects of business, including organizational leadership, management, planning, communication, marketing, finance, law, and ethics. The business administration degree is designed to give students the ability to make good judgments and quick decisions within in a particular realm of business. Applied learning is important, and class projects frequently involve solving real-world problems for local companies. Bachelor of Science in Business Administration graduates are prepared to assume a variety of positions in corporate, private, government and nonprofit organizations. They are also prepared to pursue graduate business degrees, such as the M.B.A. or Master of Accountancy. Furthermore, graduates can seek out additional certifications including Six Sigma, Project Management Professional (PMP), CPA, PHR, SSLP, CMS, SHRM-CP, CFA, FSA, PHR, SSLP.

  • Online students engage in asynchronous learning through a course website that facilitates interaction with their instructor and classmates.
  • Hybrid students combine online studies with live class sessions that meet on Tuesday or Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 or 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. Students may also choose to take one online class with their live class to provide more flexibility.
