Point University’s Christian ministries degree is provides working adults with an increased understanding of Scripture and enhanced skills for various church leadership roles, as well as preparation for a graduate seminary program. Students enter this program of study in order to develop their spiritual gifts, strengthen their faith, and enhance their knowledge of Christian principles.

Associate of Arts in Christian Ministries

Point University’s associate degree in Christian ministries equips students with a broad grounding in the Liberal Arts, along with foundational preparation for effective service in church and ministry settings. Graduates may continue their studies to earn the Bachelor of Science degree in Christian ministries.

The Associate of Arts in Christian Ministries equips students with a strong foundation in liberal arts, along with foundational competencies for Christian ministry.

Program Goals

The A.A. in Christian ministries builds on the mission and goals of Point University in order to attain Point’s general education competencies and accomplish the following program goals and student learning objectives:

Equip students with foundational competencies for Christian ministry.
Equip students with a foundation in biblical theology and worldview issues.
Equip students to apply basic content, principles, and methodologies of the primary areas of knowledge, including the Humanities, Fine Arts, Social and Behavioral Sciences, Natural Sciences, and Mathematics.
Equip students with essential habits and skills for lifelong learning and success.

This program is built around biblical and theological studies while focusing on practical ministry skills and professional development.

The Christian ministry degree program is designed to prepare leaders for effective service in local churches, missions agencies, social service organizations, and other ministry settings. Students enter this program of study in order to develop their spiritual gifts, strengthen their faith, and enhance their knowledge of Christian principles.

Benefits of our Hybrid Distance Learning Programs

  • Online students engage in asynchronous learning through a course website that facilitates interaction with their instructor and classmates.
  • Hybrid students combine online studies with live class sessions that meet on Tuesday or Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 or 8:00 to 10:00 p.m.
