Point UniversityS. Todd Weaver

Todd has served as Professor of Business and Business Department Chair since 2010. Todd earned a Ph.D. in Marketing from Georgia State University in 2012, an MBA from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill in 1997, and a BBA from the University of Georgia in 1992. In addition to his academic credentials, Todd has more than 10 years of industry experience that spans a variety of industries and business sizes, including jobs at Chick-fil-A, the Philadelphia Orchestra, and several start-up companies. Todd recently earned his Online Marketing Certified Professional (OMCP®) certification, and he has spearheaded the development of social media marketing classes and certificates at Point University. In his free time, Todd enjoys backpacking, travel, and spending time with his wife (Donna) and young son (Stephen).

Professional Certifications and Memberships

Todd is a member of the American Marketing Association and the Association for Consumer Research, and he holds the Online Marketing Certified Professional (OMCP®) certification.

Research and Consulting

Todd’s research concerns network effects: how personal, social, and material agency interact to shape individual and collective behavior. He has published articles in leading business journals, such as the Journal of Business Ethics and the Journal of Business Research, and he has presented his research at national conferences, such as the AMA Marketing and Public Policy Conference and the Association for Consumer Research North American Conference. Todd also maintains a consulting practice, Soliloquy Consulting, specializing in voice-of-consumer research.

Community Involvement

Todd is honored to serve as a board member for the Bedford School and as Board Chair for the Atlanta Singers. He is a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Douglasville, GA, and he enjoys participating in short-term mission trips in the summer months. Todd frequently gets his classes involved in the West Point community by assigning class projects that are designed to benefit local communities.
