Point Graduates December Class of 2017

On Saturday, December 16, Point University graduated 109 students at Crossroads Church in Sharpsburg, Georgia, with associate of arts, bachelor of science, bachelor of arts and bachelor of business administration degrees. Point awarded two students with Hathcock awards, Point’s highest honor that recognizes outstanding students who have excelled in academics, leadership and community service while at Point. The two recipients were Linda Rodriguez, child and youth development major, and Danial Rockel, human relations major.

The graduates were inspired by speaker Andre Kennebrew, senior manager in the Field Operations Department at Chick-fil-A. Kennebrew is also the newest member of the Board of Trustees at Point University and has years of experience in both ministry and industry. He began his address by highlighting the accomplishments of the graduating students as well as the faculty who helped them reach those accomplishments.

“Out of these 100 students, you see all those testimonies and dreams,” remarks Kennebrew. “We need Point to do more of what it’s already doing. God is working; we just need to join him.”

Kennebrew gave the graduating seniors three challenges for their future life after graduation: be grateful, be generous and make great decisions.

“The best decision you ever made was to come to Point, so follow it with even more great decisions.”

President Dean Collins proudly commended the 109 graduates as the next group of Christian leaders prepared by Point to take the cross wherever they go.
