In honor of Public Service Recognition Week, held this year on May 5-11, Point University awarded five leaders within the City of South Fulton certificates of recognition for their influence and work within the community. Presenting these certificates on behalf of Point University, Dr. Kristie Roberts-Lewis, professor of public administration and MPA program coordinator, attended the award ceremony held on May 10 at the South Fulton Tennis Center.
This event marked the close of Public Service Recognition Week, which has been celebrated since 1985, and is organized annually by the Public Employees Roundtable (PER) and its member organizations with the goal of thanking and encouraging men and women serving in the areas of public service.
Point University was proud to present certificates to Odie Donald, city manager; Melanie Winfield, assistant city manager; S. Diane White, city clerk; Keith Meadow, chief of police; and Jack Butler, interim fire chief. To learn more about Public Service Recognition Week, please visit their website here.
