Point University offers a variety of degree options for our students. Whether God is calling you to full-time ministry or to serve others through another career, Point’s academic programs will prepare you to reach your potential. Below you will find information regarding degree options for both our Access and traditional programs.
Point offers the following types of degrees: Associate of Arts (A.A.) – A two-year degree of 60-64 semester hours providing a first level of preparation for the student to develop a broad educational foundation, and appropriate for transfer or continuation toward a bachelor’s degree. Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) – A four-year degree composed of general studies, including the study of a foreign language, biblical studies, professional studies, and electives totaling 128 or more semester hours. Bachelor of arts degrees are only available in the traditional program. Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) – A four-year degree composed of general studies, biblical studies, professional studies, and electives totaling 123 semester hours or more (a foreign language is not required). Bachelor of Science (B.S.) – A four-year degree composed of general studies, biblical studies, professional studies, and electives totaling 120 semester hours or more (a foreign language is not required).
A major is the area of professional studies that the student pursues, sometimes with a specialization or emphasis also selected within the major. Depending on the major and the degree, the professional studies requirements can range from 33 to 66 semester hours.
