Bachelor of Science in Biology
The Bachelor of Science in Biology degree offers rigorous scientific coursework, accompanied by hands-on laboratory experiences, taught from a biblical perspective by caring and committed faculty. Students who complete our program successfully gain a broad foundation of knowledge and understanding in the biological sciences from the molecular level to the whole organism.
With an optimal teacher-student ratio and new laboratory facilities, our biology program trains students to develop skills in the implementation of the scientific method, critical thinking, effective communication, accuracy and precision, teamwork and problem solving.
The Pre-Professional track of the biology major has a sequence of courses designed to fulfill the basic requirements and pre-requisites for admission to professional schools (e.g. schools of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, optometry, etc.). Students who desire careers in these fields are encouraged to follow this track.
