In the final chapel of the year, Point University students, faculty, staff and community members remembered what they had been “unleashed” from over the past year. Hopelessness. Complacency. Lies. Addiction. The past.
Point University’s March Community Chapel aimed to bring to light the misconceptions that every person has about themselves, about others and about God. Christians must shine a light on what is true and what is false to be unleashed for Kingdom impact.
Last night at community chapel, Point Biblical studies freshman, Alex Allen, took the stage with spoken word. As the lights dimmed, he paced back and forth across the stage, looking intently into each student’s eyes. He reminded us what it must feel like to be someone who feels like their voice is unheard or they are forgotten.
Yesterday concluded Point’s annual “21 Days of Prayer,” an intentional time at the beginning of each new year for personal and group reflection and prayer among the Point family. Every day, for twenty-one days, Point students, faculty, staff and trustees received a devotional in their e-mail inbox.
