Join us on Saturday, May 10 at 11:00 a.m. est as we celebrate the fall class of 2024 and the spring class of 2025 during our commencement ceremony! The ceremony will be held at the beautiful and historic Columbus Convention and Trade Center in Columbus, Georgia. There will be free parking offered in the facility’s parking deck and paid parking on the downtown, city streets of Columbus, GA.
The ceremony will be live-streamed on the University’s YouTube channel for those unable to attend in person. For those that will be attending, tickets are not required. However, graduates are encouraged to limit their guest attendance to no more than 10 individuals.
For those traveling and in need of hotel lodgings, you may want to book a hotel room at our special, discounted group rate with the Columbus Marriott ($184.00 USD per night, breakfast included) downtown. The hotel is located directly across the street (within walking distance) to the Columbus Convention and Trade Center where the commencement ceremony is taking place. Our Keynote Speaker this year is President Dean Collins!
Dean C. Collins is a 1979 graduate of Point University. He held the position of interim president at Point from early 2006 until February 2009, when he was appointed president by the University’s board of trustees. Prior to joining the administration in 2006, Collins had served as an advisor to the University and its trustees. In previous years, he served as part of the University’s adjunct faculty and as the interim vice president of student development.
