Welcome!
The Educational Resource Center exists to assist students in becoming the best student they can be. Below you can learn how to schedule a tutoring session and how to excel.
Tutoring
Located in the Learning Commons, student tutors are available for walk-in assistance, or an appointment can be made. Virtual tutoring is also available. Have your questions ready when you arrive along with your textbook and any materials from class such as study guides that are helpful. You will need to complete the Tutoring Services Form before your session can begin.
Success
- Show up for class physically and mentally.
- Take detailed notes and ask questions while in class.
- Complete most (if not all) of the assigned homework the same day the material is covered in class. Make note of any questions you may have along the way.
- Upon returning to class, ask your questions. Show up early and ask your instructor before class if you prefer not to talk in class.
- If you feel stuck or confused at any point, ask questions! Talk to your instructor and/or meet with a tutor. If you wait even two days, you will be that much more behind.
- Try to understand why we move from one step to another instead of trying to memorize the steps.
- Ask questions!
