The biblical studies program is designed to train students to read the Bible well, equipping them with the tools needed for faithful interpretation of scripture and guiding them in textual studies of the Old and New Testaments and historical theological issues.
Students in the program will be exposed to diverse and highly-qualified faculty, while engaging in deep study of the scriptures. They will be well-trained for nuanced and thoughtful engagement with other viewpoints. Many biblical studies graduates continue on into academia and successful church and parachurch leadership.
Demonstrate an awareness of critical introduction and historical background necessary to a proper understanding of the Old and New Testaments.
Perform the practical functions of a servant-leader in a specialized area, and develop dispositions for biblical leadership and action in today’s culture.
