West Point, Georgia, September 3, 2020—Point University is proud to announce the launch of The Freshman, by Point head men’s and women’s tennis coach Chad Simpson. The Freshman launched on August 25th and has been endorsed by coaches at Louisiana State University, Baylor University and Liberty University with a cumulative 4 Division I National Team Titles and 13 individual NCAA titles.
The Freshman is intended for anyone starting something new—whether school, a new job or a new season of life. The spiritual fable follows main character Chris as he begins his freshman year of college. Throughout this life-changing year, Chris learns and applies fifteen simple lessons that help him discover why he was created and his purpose in life.
Every year, nearly 20 million young adults enter a university for the first time as a freshman, but less than 2 million graduate with a bachelor’s degree each year. As a college coach, Simpson wanted to create a helpful resource for his athletes to not just graduate college but to thrive throughout their lives. The Freshman is available on Amazon here in both paperback and e-book formats.
In addition to coaching tennis, Chad Simpson is also the assistant athletic director at Point University. He was a record-breaking Division I athlete at Liberty University and is an award-winning collegiate coach with over 15 years of experience. He also speaks at colleges, high schools and non-profit organizations. Connect with Chad on Twitter at @CoachChadS and Instagram at @coachchadsimpson.
